Andrew Bacon and John Barnard are appointed to sell the goods of the Cobbler Thomas Johnson, dec'd formerly taken by Invent. July 2-1640. (pp. 453.) Invent. of Thomas Johnson. "To Goodman Hill a Coat, shirt and band, 2 pr. stockings and hose yarn, a pr. high shoes, a piece of leather, 5 bands, a shirt, a redde wascoat, a parre of start-ups (kind of high shoes), a sheete of appareel, a pestell, a hatte, 3 pieces of leather, 1/2# of pepper, a seefe bottom, a syth, a shirt and 2 bands, 2 perre of breeches, a piece of maslin, leather, 3 hatchets, 1 shurt 1 pr of shoes and boots, 2 pieces of leather, 3 perre of boots, Mr. Welles distreyned a musket, a sword, bandaleres, and a rest. 10¦. 13s. 5d. The debt he owed upon the distresse and for recording Inventory. Goodman Hill owed him 10 pounds."573
