| Hezekiah Hoxie was born in Sandwich 3 April 1675, his will was proved in Sandwich, 2 May 1771. He married Dinah Butler, danughter of Daniel and Elizabeth (Howes) Butler. Daniel Butler, a Quaker, was whipped in 1660 for rescuing a strange Quaker when apprehended by Marshall Barlow. He died in 1712, bequeathing lands to Hezekiah Hoxie and Richard Allen, sons-in-law. Hezekiah Hoxie lived near Spring Hill, in Sandwich, at the south end of Spectacle Pond. Children born in Sandwich, proved by Friend's records. |
