The visitation of 1619 shows that John Raleigh of Thornborow married to Idon, daughter and heiress of Sir Thomas Cotesford, Knight, and aurhorized the Raleighs to quarter the Cotesford arms: 'argent, two bars gules within a bordure engrailed semee of bezants:' the Visitation pedigree erroneously inserts a generation of Henry Raleigh between this John and his parents Thomas Raleight and Agnes Swinford.
In 1417 John ralegh of Wardington, esquire, gave a quitclaim to John Danvers and robert Betrych of lands in Wardington, Great and Little Bourton, and the monor Tusmere which they had by he feoffment. In 1418 Thomas de Cotesford, knight, gave a quitclaim to John Danvers of the manor of Prescote and all other lands held by the said John in Prescote, Croprydy, Wardyngton, Willyamescote, Baunebury, Great and Little Bourton, Molyngton, and Shoteswelle.
